Student poster competition

Our colleagues at ESA are organising Student Poster Competition and asked us to invite Members of ECSECO to participate. Among the other awards the winning teams will gain a unique opportunity to visit the European Space Research and Technology Centre (ESTEC)!

Important update: The deadline for submissions has been extended to 17 April 2023.

To participate, you need to form a group of two and prepare a poster presenting ideas or concepts that would enhance international cooperation in one of the following areas:

  • ISRU + intelligent planetary exploration (incl. automation & robotics, flying machines),
  • Sustainable long-term life support for moon, Mars, or space stations,
  • Novel Earth observation applications,
  • Ownership and exploitation of space objects (incl. recovered debris/samples, asteroids, planets).

Timeline of the competition:

  1. Register your team.
  2. Your team will receive an email with detailed information and poster requirements.
  3. You must submit your team poster before Monday 17 April 2023 for evaluation by an ESA expert jury panel.
  4. All teams will be notified of the result by 1 May 2023.
  5. Four winning teams (each consisting of 2 students) will receive a scholarship to the conference from 22-24 May 2023 at ESTEC in the Netherlands, covering up to 1000 EUR to support the travel and accommodation expenses.
