Moderated by Carla Filotico (Novaspace), this transatlantic discussion will bring together Clay Mowry (AIAA), Geraldine Naja (European Space Agency – ESA), Marta Massimiani (SATLANTIS) and Manny Shar (Astrolab). The panel, jointly organised with AIAA, will examine governmentโ€™s role as an anchor customer, emerging investment trends, pathways for companies to scale, and the partnerships needed for a competitive, resilient and sustainable global space economy.

Bringing together legal and economicย perspectives, we are partnering with our sister organisation from the ECSL – European Centre for Space Law. The panel will explore how the growth of large satellite constellations can be supported while ensuring legal certainty, responsible use of orbital resources, fair market access and the long-term sustainability of space activities. Moderated by Gisela Sรผss, Head of ESA Legal Services Department, and Charlotte Mathieu, Head of ESAโ€™s Space Economy and Industrial Policy Division, our panellists, Luigi Scatteia (Novaspace), Andrew Ratcliffe (UK Space Agency), Hugo Andrรฉ Costa (Agรชncia Espacial Portuguesa) and Gina Petrovici LL.M. (German Aerospace Center (DLR)) will try to shed some light on the future of LEO constellations.
